HONG Kong shares have closed up 0.15 per cent, ending a strong week on a high, with a string of data out of China indicating a slowdown in the world's number two economy has bottomed.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index rose 33.05 points on Friday to 21,551.76 on turnover of $HK56.39 billion ($A7.06 billion).
However, Chinese shares closed down 0.16 per cent. The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index slipped 3.39 points to 2,128.30 on turnover of 50.6 billion yuan ($A8.1 billion). But the index still managed to gain 1.11 per cent over the week.
