CLIVE Palmer's United Australia Party (UAP) in Queensland has rebranded itself the Palmer United Party (PUP).
Member for Gaven Alex Douglas announced the move in parliament on Wednesday.
"I wish to announce that I am now Queensland parliamentary leader of the Palmer United Party," he said.
"The Palmer United Party and the United Australia Party have merged as one."
Dr Douglas and Brisbane-based member Carl Judge were Queensland MPs who in April joined Clive Palmer's Queensland-based party, then known as the United Australia Party (UAP).
